Ah where to start…
I have been on a personal journey of sorts, always trying to make my life a bit better, and trying to learn something new every day.
I was diagnosed with diabetes around the age of 45, and at first started relying on medicines to control the sugar levels.
After 3 years or so of taking various combination of drugs for diabetes, cholesterol etc, I got angry and frustrated to see myself taking upto 8 prescription medicines at the age of 48.
I Joined Weight Watchers to loose some weight, being over 50 lbs overweight at a hefty 250 lbs.
Since then (about 4 months ago) I have been loosing weight steadily by learning to cook all my own foods, and embracing the very act of cooking with good ingredients and focusing on the quality and variety of the foods that I eat.
It is not a diet, but a change in my way of life. Having found a lot of information on the internet, I decided to contribute myself by setting up this page and documenting what I have found through my research, efforts and trial and error.
I hope to list a collection of articles, links, and other pertinent information on this page in the near future, so that you too can benefit from my success.
